Old photos of my town Pristina

Pristina, Kosovo

This is a early 20 century photo of the building that now is the National Museum in Pristina.

This is the market.

The center of the city. The building behind still stands.

The building on the right is now the parliament building.

An old church in the center of town. The church was destroyed by Yugoslav communists.

Old postcard of Pristina.

Another photo of the center.

I really like fountains through out the town.

Especially the old ones. And I prepared some pics to show some really interesting and original fountains.

The first snow

The first snow in my town with my family.

This is my youngest daughter Luana and this was the first time she saw the snow.

The was very happy and amazed as she started to play sitting in the snow and turning around.

In this picture is also my older daughter Nita. In the below picture she is helping her sister to walk around.

This was day Saturday 27.12.2014 in my town and this was the first snow for this winter.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all peace loving people out there.

Kosovo in Rio 2016 Olympic Games

A very good present and good news for Kosovo for the new year. After a long time Kosovo has won a long battle to be accepted in the Olympic games Federation as a full member and a right to participate.
After a long time of isolation Kosovo has a chance to give to its sports teams a chance to compete in the international arena with other national teams out there.
I am very curious to see how will the Kosovar athletes do in Rio 2016. Also I hope that Kosovo will be accepted in FIFA and UEFA soon.

Minority request 2

So finally there is an agreement signed and the serb minority got what they requested.
I'm afraid this is going to be a generating point for a lot of political troubles in the future for Kosovo, but i hope that the serb minority will understand that the economy and wealth of all of us is in the first place and not the interest of Belgrade to destroy everything around.
We have been dealing with serb occupation and aggression for a very long time not wanting to detail to much but is time for Serbia to let it go because it is not in their hands anymore and start working for a better life for the western Balkans all of us together.

Minority request

A couple of days ago there was a parliament gathering for the first time after election ready to vote for the new government.
It went all by order until a small group of serb minority left the hall in requests for something more.
For the government to be voted all the parliament members need to be present.
Now, they are blocking the government voting for some of their personal requests and with the reason of their rights.
I'm truly disappointing from the serb minority that even after 15 years they are not ready to live normally in Kosovo.
Of course they are still directed by Belgrade and for that reason I don't think we will have good relations in the near future.
So Germany thank you for requesting to open the Kosovo theme before talks begin between EU and Serbia.
